I founded Social Bike Palermo in 2015 with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility in synergy with the rediscovery of the city's historical, cultural and artistic heritage.
Influencing positive change in Palermo is what I love to do. Developing new relationships by sharing my passion is an advantage because we stand out for friendly service and a personal approach. In collaboration with partners such as tour operators and tourist guides, I believe in the bicycle as a social tool for the protection and enjoyment of the territory with full respect for the environment.

Opted for solo adventure and picked the red Trek mtb. Explored hills and towns outside Palermo on it. Challenging with the end of August heat and climbs but the views were well worth the effort. Highly recommended!
The cultural quality of the guide, EVAz, is impressive. Cult Sina intelligent and super friendly. The walk was pleasant, very instructive and I would repeat it 3 or four times to retain as much as possible... highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn about Palermo, history and culture of Palermo, Sicily, Italy... don't miss it.
Unfortunately we weren't in Palermo long enough to rent bikes, but we would definitely have done so after our visit. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and printed out our digital documents for us (8 pages!) without any ifs or buts. When we wanted to at least compensate him for the effort, we were given a cornetto and croissant with a smile.The shop was clean and tidy and the bikes appeared new and serviced. We rented two bicycles for two days from here whilst on holiday in Palermo and the service was great! Very fair prices and the (I assume) owner was very friendly, helpful and informative. He speaks great English also, which was very helpful for us as our Italian is awful. If you're looking to rent a bicycle whilst in Palermo, I definitely recommend coming here
We went there end of July to actually leave our bags when we arrived in Palermo : the employee (owner?) was very nice and it was very practical as it is very central. I recommend !

We had a great bike tour today of the 4 areas of historic Palermo! Fabio, our guide, was very personable, knowledgeable and provided us with great info. We wished we would have started our visit with this to get to know the city better, but we’re very happy to have done it at the end of our trip nonetheless. We felt like we got to know the city even more. I highly recommend this activity if you are in Palermo! Bonus, they stored our luggage for free while we were out biking.
We had a very positive experience with Social Bikes. Anthony was very kind, flexible, very responsive to emails and give very helpful information about the cycle lines in the city (including a map) to help us feeling safe and comfortable. He also had some nice recommendations for places to visit. Bikes were great (even for tall people like us). Highly recommended!
Totally recommend this place. The guy is super nice ( gentile). He explains everything and is super supportive. You are provided a repair kit, can also get a helmet and lights if needed. He is providing a map and shows you where to go. It was fun to go to capo gallo by bike. Driving around Palermo can be tricky as there are plenty one way streets and lots of traffic. But it was fun exploring the City by bike. The bikes are also nice, with gear shifts and breaks that work really well, which is important for one’s fun ne safety 🙂
We rented two good bikes a few days ago and also had really great service. We were recommended a slightly less visited beach and when we asked about good restaurants, we were given a few good alternatives.However, the cycle paths in Sicily are all directly on the road, which we were unfortunately not aware of at the beginning.

Nice owner, responsive and friendly, will tell you everything and even advise where to go. Convenient location - right in the city center! The bicycles, of course, are old and a little worn out. But very thoughtfully, they provide a bag with a repair kit and a pump, just in case - it’s convenient, and it even came in handy for me when my tire burst - I was able to change it myself.You can also leave your luggage in the store while you ride or walk around the city.I wish to the company success and popularity.I recommend!

We rented two German Bergamont touring bikes for our challenging 12-day round trip in Western Sicily (Palermo-Agrigento-Trapani-Palermo). The offered bikes were staffed with stable pannier holders, locks, spare tubes, essential tools and are quite good as long as you stay on paved roads. I rented a bike to bike to Mondello beach. The experience was perfect, super comfortable bike with smooth gears, and good breaks. You even get a repair kit and lock with your rental. I highly recommend this bike shop if you’re looking to explore the area via bike! 🚴♀️
